This is the Itinerary for our 2019 Fitness and Yoga week in Gran Canaria. This page will be updated daily if we have to make changes to the itinerary for any reason.
Monday 17th June
8.30pm – Welcome Drinks and Group Dinner
10pm – Breath & Meditation
A session exploring different pranayama (breath) techniques before undertaking meditation exercises.
Tuesday 18th June
8.30am – Sun Rise Tai Chi
Wake up and move energy using a simple sequence to move into the day with fluidity.
9am – Breakfast
10.30am – 70’s style Aerobics
Wear your lycra and sweatbands for our Aerobics (or wear nothing at all)
11am – Go with the Flow Yoga
A yoga class that focuses more on finding the fluid transitions between poses, and finding your flow no matter what comes up
1pm – Fitness Testing Workshop
Learn how to assess your fitness with some simple fitness tests
3pm – Juggling
Juggling is great exercise for hand-eye coordination, so get your balls out and learn the “three ball cascade”
5pm – Circuit Training
An invigorating circuit class using body weight and kettlebells
6.30pm – Pre Dinner Drinks (happy hour is 5pm to 7pm)
7.30pm – Dinner
9.30pm – “Fact or Fantasy”
Get to know each other better with our Naked Card Game, “Fact or Fantasy”
Wednesday 19th June
7.30am – Balancing Beach Yoga
Working on sand is great for engaging with balance. Standing sequence flow. Transport to the beach will be provided
9am – Breakfast
10.30am – HIIT Class (High Intensity Intervals)
An Energetic stress-busting workout for all fitness levels
1.30pm – Chakra Workshop
An introduction to the energy centres (chakras) of the body with a mini yoga flow, tapping into each and linking them together
3pm – Mountain Drive (Group A)
3pm – Buns ‘n’ Guns Yoga (Group B)
Focusing on glutes and abs, building strength and focus through various poses.
6pm – Relax in the Jacuzzi
6.30pm – Pre Dinner Drinks (happy hour is 5pm to 7pm)
7.30pm – Dinner
10pm – Restorative Yoga
Only doing a few gentle positions to allow the body to integrate the events of the day, this class really allows the body to relax.
Thursday 20th June
8.30am – Morning Walking Meditation
Energise your body and wake your mind
9am – Breakfast
10.30am – PUMP!
Pump up your muscles to an invigorating soundtrack
1.30pm – Inversion Workshop
Learn Yogic Inversion Techniques, and turn your world upside down
3pm – Mountain Drive (Group B)
3pm – Buns’n’ Guns Yoga (Group A)
Focusing on glutes and abs, building strength and focus through various poses.
6pm – Sauna & Swim
6.30pm – Pre Dinner Drinks (happy hour is 5pm to 7pm)
7.30pm – Dinner
9.30pm – Kegel Workout
Strengthen your PC Muscle with a short Kegel exercise routine
Friday 21st June
8.30am – Sunrise Yoga
Early morning class to wake up the body and start linking breath and movement in some simple yoga poses
9am – Breakfast
10.30am – 70’s style Aerobics
We step up the pace as we progress our Aerobics routine
11am – Warrior Flow Yoga
A more advanced class plugging into the 3 Warrior Poses of yoga and working on core strength especially.
2pm – Hot Muscle
Resistance Training designed to build huge solid muscle
4pm – Yumbo Trip
6pm – Relax in the Jacuzzi
6.30pm – Pre Dinner Drinks (happy hour is 5pm to 7pm)
7.30pm – Dinner
9.30pm – Cards against Humanity
Saturday 22nd June
8.30am – Sunrise Tai Chi
Wake up and move energy using a simple sequence to move into the day with fluidity.
9am – Breakfast
10.30am – Ripped
An exercise class which fuses Cardio and Strength Training for a full body workout
12pm – Juggling Part Two
Show off your new juggling skills
2pm – Move and Flow Partner Yoga
A more rigorous partner class to engage the muscles to really feel the stretch while working together
3.30pm – Life Drawing
Either as a model or an artist, learn to appreciate the body in a different way through holding a pose or holding pencil to paper.
5.30pm – Power Walking Workshop
Learn a great walking exercise to improve fitness without running. Training shoes and shorts required
6.30pm – Pre Dinner Drinks (happy hour is 5pm to 7pm)
7pm – Dinner
9pm – Saturday Night Out
Night out at the Yumbo Centre
Sunday 23rd June
8.30am – Morning Detox with Stefan
A gentle flow to help get the day started and wring out any remnants of the night before
10am – Breakfast
12pm – 70’s style Aerobics
Last chance to perfect our Aerobics routine
2pm – NKD Bootcamp
Body weight exercise and physical challenges that burn fat and build muscle in our final workout of the week
4pm – Massage Workshop
Relax and unwind giving and receiving gentle swedish massage
6pm – Sauna & Swim
6.30pm – Pre Dinner Drinks (happy hour is 5pm to 7pm)
7.30pm – Dinner
9.30pm – Chill-out
